Yesterday afternoon, two people tragically lost their lives on Albanian beaches, shocking vacationers and public opinion.
The events, separated by time and place, come at a time when beach attendance is increasing due to high temperatures.
But beyond the tragedy, what has ignited the networks is an unexpected reaction from former Big Brother VIP Albania resident, Arsida Cerpja.
Through an Instagram post, she shared a personal belief that sparked numerous reactions.
"In Italy, an old belief says that on June 29th you should not swim in the sea. I saw today that two people had drowned in the sea in Albania. Have you heard of this superstition before?" she writes, linking today's cases to what she describes as a "cursed" date.
In another post on Instagram Story, she states that according to the old saying, the sea seeks a soul on this date.
The snake adds that he has seen several videos that say that "on this day, the sea suddenly changes currents and it has happened many times that people have lost their lives."
"I don't like to believe in superstitions and I didn't pay much attention to them. But when I saw the news about two people who lost their lives at sea, I said... maybe there's something that changes the atmosphere on this day and makes it more dangerous," she writes.
