United States President Donald Trump does not think his Ukrainian counterpart, Volodymyr Zelensky, is important enough to be present at peace talks with Russia.
"I don't think he's very important to be in meetings. He makes it harder to get deals done," Trump said in an interview with Fox News.
Trump even thinks that Zelensky has no "cards" in his hands at the moment.
"I've seen him negotiate without a card in his hand. He doesn't have any cards and that's tiring... I've seen that," he says.
The American President has compared Ukraine to Gaza, among other things, while regarding Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent's trip to Kiev, he said it was a "wasted, dangerous trip" that he did not like.
But it didn't stop there.
He also accused French President Emmanuel Macron and British Prime Minister Keir Starmer of doing nothing to end the war.
"They didn't do anything, no meeting with Russia. They didn't do anything ," Trump told Fox when asked about the meetings he will hold with Macron and Starmer.
"I'm a friend of Macron ," Trump continued, adding that Starmer "is a very good guy," but neither of them has done anything about Russia.
"They did nothing to end the war. The war is going on, there are no meetings with Russia, there is nothing. They have done nothing. Macron is my friend, and I have met with the prime minister, he is a very good guy... [but] nobody has done anything. I have been watching this situation go on for years and I do it for one reason, I hate killing. I hate seeing those young people killed ," Trump said in an interview with Fox News.
