Vučić "pressures" Serbian woman: Show that it's not your child!

A serious scene was recorded during a meeting with citizens in the town of Bor, where Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić was faced with a public denunciation of the lack of social assistance to a sick child.

During the event, a woman asked for the floor to talk about the difficulties she has been facing for nine months in obtaining social assistance for her son, who suffers from heart problems. She stated that, despite continuous requests, she has not received any support from the system.

Instead of giving a direct answer on financial assistance, President Vučić spoke about the procedures and controls of social service centers, suggesting that there may be legal obstacles affecting the payment process.

According to her testimony, the woman requested that family matters not be discussed in the presence of the child. However, the president encouraged her to explain the situation in detail, arguing that the problem could be resolved immediately.

Under emotional pressure, she burst into tears and revealed to the boy that she was not his biological mother. The woman explained that she was the child's aunt, that his mother had passed away, and that she had been taking care of him for 13 years, while attempts to legally adopt him had been unsuccessful.

"They won't let me adopt him. I'm his aunt, his mother passed away. I've taken care of him for 13 years, I meet all the requirements, and they keep rejecting me. I didn't want him to find out this way that I wasn't his mother," she said through tears, as the boy sat next to her.

After the statement, Vučić described the situation as procedurally complicated, promising to personally engage in reviewing the case and to provide an answer by Wednesday. He also emphasized that, despite the legal formalities, she remains the child's mother in any case, due to the dedication and care shown over the years.
