As the war in Ukraine enters its seventh day, it is reported that Vladimir Putin's plan is to take control of Kiev, overthrow the government and bring Viktor Yanukovych to power. It is about the former president of Ukraine who is reportedly in Minsk and the Kremlin is preparing to bring him back to power.

" Yanukovych is in Minsk. " The Kremlin wants to make him President of Ukraine ," the BBC reported, citing Ukrainian intelligence.

The Kremlin may be preparing an operation or campaign for Yanukovych's return to Ukraine. In January, Britain said Moscow was planning to install a pro-Moscow figure to lead the Ukrainian government.

Viktor Yanukovych had fled to Russia in 2014, following massive anti-government protests in Ukraine.
