Touching video/ The horror of war: The man pulls the body of a little

Footage shows a Palestinian man pulling the body of a little girl from the rubble after rockets fired by Israel are destroying Palestinian homes.

The Israeli army launched attacks on more than 200 settlements in the Gaza Strip overnight, including the Rimal neighborhood in Gaza City as well as the town of Khan Younis.

The Israeli military says it has regained "full control" of the Gaza fence that was breached by Hamas gunmen who infiltrated southern Israel on Saturday.

Daniel Hagari, a spokesman for the Israeli army, said no Hamas fighters had crossed the fence in the past 24 hours, but did not rule out the possibility that some of the gunmen were still inside Israeli-controlled areas.

Hagari added that the army is now laying mines in the parts where the barrier collapsed to prevent further infiltration.

The Palestinian health ministry in Gaza said the death toll from Israeli airstrikes in the territory had risen to 704, including 143 children and 105 women.

The ministry said the attacks have wounded an estimated 4,000 more Palestinians.
