A senior Hamas official said the group is open to discussions on a possible cease-fire with Israel, having "achieved its objectives".

Moussa Abu Marzouk told Al Jazeera in a phone interview that Hamas is open to "something like that" and "all political dialogues" when asked if the Islamist group is willing to discuss a possible ceasefire.

So, according to recent reports, the fighting has intensified in the north of Israel on the border with Libya, where it is reported that the forces of the other organization Hezbollah, which is several times more powerful than Hamas, has declared its readiness and will try to attack Israel.
