A plane departing from the airport of Corfu to London has faced great turbulence while flying over the Adriatic Sea.
TgCom writes that the incident happened on August 19 around 13:00, where the plane with 181 people on board, 175 passengers and 6 crew members, was flying at 779 kilometers per hour at an altitude of 8588 meters when it encountered turbulence.
Two flight attendants were injured, one of whom is suspected to have suffered a leg fracture. In this situation, the pilot decided to make an emergency landing at Rome airport.
Meanwhile, the National Aviation Safety Agency has announced that it has launched an investigation into the case as it is suspected that the pilots may have underestimated the weather radar.
