His hand holding hers, tons of rubble separated the father and his dead daughter. Mesut Hancer's daughter Irmak (15) was still in her bed in pink clothes.

She was killed by falling parts of buildings when the ground shook in Kahramanmaras (Turkey) from the earthquake. A father's pain is endless.

The father, who did not let go of his daughter's hand, spoke to the German newspaper "Bild". Mesut Hançer, 49 years old, said that he dug the ruins with his hands, but still failed to save his daughter, Irmak.

"I prayed a lot, unfortunately it didn't happen, we lost," he said. The photo of the father, who was wearing an orange jacket with an indescribable pain on his face, had a great impact in Turkey./ Bild
