Richard Grenell, US President Donald Trump's Special Envoy for Special Missions, has shared the post of Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama, in which he harshly criticizes the Special Court for rejecting the request of former Kosovo President Hashim Thaçi to pay his last respects to his late father.

In Rama's post, which Grenell then shared, the Albanian prime minister wrote: "A despicable act by a shameless and shameless court that has turned international justice into a joke, democratic rights into empty words, and the goodwill of the Kosovo Assembly into the most brutal boomerangs!"

Grenell, who has served as the US special representative for the Kosovo-Serbia dialogue, has repeatedly expressed criticism of the Special Court, describing it as a politically biased institution that has hindered peace in the Western Balkans.

Grenell recently requested that the administration of US President Donald Trump launch an investigation into former senior Justice Department official Bruce Swartz, who, according to him, played a key role in the process that led to the indictment by the Hague Tribunal against former President Thaçi, at the time of the peace negotiations.

The funeral ceremony of Haxhi Thaçi, father of the former political leader of the Kosovo Liberation Army, Hashim Thaçi, will be held on March 18, in the village of Burojë, Skenderaj.
