During the swearing in of the new President of North Macedonia, Gordana Silianovska, an incident occurred.

According to Greek media, while she was taking the oath, she did not call her country "North Macedonia", but simply "Macedonia".

This revolted the ambassador of Greece, Sofia Filippidou, who left the swearing-in ceremony in protest.

"It is worth noting that the leaders of the neighboring countries, Bulgaria, Serbia and Albania, did not participate in today's ceremony, unlike the last presidential swearing-in ceremony, where Bulgarian President Radomir Radev also participated.
