The United States is preparing for a military campaign against Iran that could last for weeks.
According to the Reuters news agency, the new plan includes not only nuclear and missile targets, but also government and administration buildings, possibly aiming to bring the ayatollahs' regime to its knees.
The plan comes after the failure to find common ground in the 6th round of talks in Muscat on February 6, which was the first since last year's "12-Day War".
A sign of escalation is the dispatch of the second aircraft carrier Gerald Ford to the region.
During a meeting with military troops on Friday, President Trump expressed skepticism that a diplomatic solution can be found:
"They've been very hard on reaching a deal with Iran. Sometimes you have to be afraid. That's the only thing that's really going to solve the situation."
White House officials added that Trump now has every option on the table, while the seventh round of talks is scheduled for February 17 in Geneva.
Washington and Tel Aviv are pressing Iran to abandon its development of ballistic missiles, which, combined with its nuclear program, could give Tehran the ability to produce atomic weapons.
However, Iran categorically rejects this condition, considering its arsenal as a defensive tool after the consequences of the 2025 war.
