The Kremlin has "forgiven" Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic after Serbia's erroneous vote in favor of the European resolution on Ukraine.
"Of course we heard and accept the apology. Technical errors happen and of course such a quick reaction from the head of state impresses us a lot," Peskov told reporters.
Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić said immediately after the vote that Serbia "messed up" by voting in favor of the European resolution on Ukraine at the United Nations General Assembly when in fact it should have abstained.
"Regarding the American resolution, we abstained, as we should have. In my opinion, we should have abstained on the European resolution as well," Vučić said, adding that Serbia should not flatter either Russia or the US, but should be restrained.
The UN General Assembly adopted a resolution drafted by Ukraine and its European allies on the occasion of the third anniversary of the war in Ukraine.
The resolution calls for a just and lasting peace in Ukraine. It reaffirms previous UN resolutions that demanded Russia's immediate, complete and unconditional withdrawal from Ukraine's internationally recognized borders.
Russia and the US voted against it.
