A petition against the investment of Donald Trump's son-in-law Jared Kushner in Belgrade has been launched by a group of opposition in Serbia.
They have called for the cancellation of the project that envisages the construction of hotels in the former building of the Serbian General Staff, bombed 25 years ago by NATO.
They say that according to Serbian law, the building can only be restored to its original identity and demand that it be turned into a museum of Serbian history.
About 10,000 citizens have signed the petition so far. Kushner's investment has been welcomed by Donald Trump's supporters in Serbia.
At the same time, Kushner has submitted a request to the Albanian government for the construction of a tourist resort on the island of Sazan. Prime Minister Edi Rama has publicly stated that he strongly supports this investment, saying that he had an "obsession" to give Sazan to someone, but he was not sure who should be the one who would receive it.
Rama said that Kushner is the ideal candidate for this investment, which according to him will transform Albania into the "jewel of tourism" in the Mediterranean.
