In a live broadcast on TF1 Info, France confirmed that it plans to transfer Aster missile systems and Mirage fighter jets to Ukraine in the coming days, as part of strengthening Kiev's defenses against Russia.

According to the channel, French President Emmanuel Macron stated that the country will provide additional Aster missiles and Mirage fighter jets to strengthen Ukraine's defense capabilities.

Along with France, Italy previously provided Ukraine with an unspecified number of air defense missiles, increasing the ability of Ukrainian forces to repel aerial threats.

It is also known that France previously delivered three Mirage 2000 aircraft out of a planned six - one of the aircraft crashed in July.

"We must continue to strengthen our military support for Ukraine: air defense capabilities, long-range assets, drones and anti-drone systems. Such decisions come amid new EU sanctions against Russian gas imports, which, according to experts, could affect the financing of Russia's war effort," Macron said.

A coalition of volunteers from 26 countries is considering using frozen Russian assets to support Ukraine's security and defense, as well as to strengthen control over the country's air and maritime space.
