The prototype model of the "Amber" car was conceived and implemented by the Moscow Polytechnic Institute, which claims that the engine, electronic parts and everything else are produced locally.

The body parts of the car are taken from another Russian automotive icon, "Lada", while the "innovation" of this car is the battery that can be rented.

However, what has caught the eye of Russians and millions of other users on social networks is the appearance of the car, which has already become an object of humor.

After the avalanche of bad reactions from the Russian public, the spokesman of the Avtotor factory also reacted, who claimed that they have nothing to do with this car.

"The appearance of this car has nothing in common with the Amber electric model we are developing. The shared photos show the universal platform used to test the operation of all systems of the future car," he stated.
