Russia threatens the West over German tanks, Medvedev: World on the brink of
German 'Leopard' tanks wanted by Ukraine.

"The world is approaching the danger of the Third World War in the face of preparations for aggression against Russia". This is the last statement of the Deputy President of the Russian Security Council, Dmitri Medvedev.

Ukraine wanted hundreds of tanks to win the war with Russia. This was confirmed by the head of the presidential office, Andrij Jermak, who emphasized:

"We need hundreds of tanks and not 10 or 20 of them. Our objective is to return to the borders of 1991 and punish the enemy, who will pay for the crimes he has committed."

On the issue of the tanks requested by Ukraine, there is a firm position from Russia.

"The countries that contribute directly or indirectly to equip Ukraine with weapons are responsible. And this pseudo-support will be paid by the Ukrainian people."

This is the position of Russia, made known by the spokesman of the Kremlin, Dmitri Peskov, while answering a question about the possible supply of German tanks "Leopard" through third countries, such as Poland.
