European stock indexes started the week with gains, while markets simultaneously saw increases in the prices of oil, gold and wheat.

The increase in the price of oil and gold is, among other things, a consequence of uncertainty regarding the further development of the situation in the Middle East after the fall of the Bashar al-Assad regime in Syria.

The Frankfurt stock exchange's DAX index rose to 20,442.15 points at 9:30, Britain's FTSE 100 to 8,340.25 points, France's CAC 40 to 7,476.63 points and Moscow's MOEX to 2,551.58 points.

The value of the American Dow Jones stock index fell to 44,642.52 points before the opening of the stock market in the United States today, while the S&P 500 index rose to 6,090.27 points, and the value of the Nasdaq index to 19,859.77 points.

According to stock exchange data, the price of crude oil rose to $68,008 and the price of Brent oil rose to $71,854.

At the opening of the TTF exchange, European gas gains were sold at a price of 46,350 euros per megawatt-hour.

The price of gold rose to $2,649.23 per ounce, and the price of wheat to $5.4293 per bushel (one bushel is equal to 27.216 kg).

The value of the euro against the dollar was 1.05593, roughly the same as Friday.
