Donald Trump and Vladimir Putin
Newly elected US President Donald Trump appears to have started work even before officially taking office in the White House.
He has called on Vladimir Putin to find an immediate solution to end the war with Ukraine.
"It's time to act. Zelenskyy and Ukraine would like to make a deal and stop the madness. I know Vladimir well. It's his time to act. China can help. The world is waiting," Trump declared.
He called for "an immediate ceasefire," adding that "negotiations must begin."
Trump reiterated that he was open to reducing US military aid to Ukraine.
Similarly, he again warned that the US could leave NATO if other member countries fail to increase their contributions.
