Return to the Moon

The American Space Agency, NASA, has prepared for launch the new giant rocket "Artemis I" that will enable the return of people to the Moon. Known as the Space Launch System, the spacecraft, topped by a capsule without astronauts, headed for the Kennedy Space Center in Florida.

The engines that will send it to the moon will fire on August 29. This will be an important test without a crew on board, while the next missions of this rocket will send astronauts to the lunar surface for the first time in 50 years.

The spacecraft is nearly 100 meters long, and it took approximately 10 hours to get it to the launch site. This is an important moment for NASA, which in December commemorates the Apollo 17 mission half a century ago, which sent the last man to the moon.

The US space agency is committed to repeating this success using modern-day technology. Returning to the Moon is being touted by NASA as a way to prepare for sending the first humans to Mars around 2030 or even earlier.
