"Putin is not ready for peace", Scholz message to China: Do not arm
German Chancellor Olaf Scholz and Chinese President Xi

German Chancellor Olaf Scholz said that Russian President Vladimir Putin is not ready to talk about peace at this time, while calling on him to withdraw all his soldiers from Ukraine. He also asked China not to arm Moscow, but to discuss the peace plan with Ukraine as well.

"My message to Beijing is clear: use your influence in Moscow to push for the withdrawal of all Russian troops and do not send any weapons to the Russian aggressor. It is good that China reiterated its stance against the use of nuclear weapons in its 12-point plan, which clearly condemns the use of biological weapons and weapons of mass destruction. But China should discuss its ideas with the main parties, the Ukrainians and President Zelenski", were the words of Scholz.

However, the German chancellor emphasized that "love for peace does not mean submission to a stronger neighbor. If Ukraine stopped defending itself, it would not lead to peace, but to the end of Ukraine. But Vladimir Putin does not seem willing to talk about a just peace. There are no signals at this time. Withdraw your troops and this war will be over immediately. It is important that Putin hears this message from all countries of the world."
