The head of the Social Democratic Party in Kosovo, Dardan Molliqaj, and the organizational secretary of this political force, Nol Nushi, were arrested in today's protest against the visit of the head of the Specialized Chambers, Ekaterina Trendafliova.

The protest near the hotel where Trendafilova is holding the meeting with the civil society, was accompanied by many tensions, where smoke bombs and explosive devices were thrown.

One of the journalists who was covering the event, fell to the ground during the strong clash with the police forces.

Ekaterina Trendafilova is the Chairperson of the Specialized Chambers.

The Special Court investigates alleged crimes committed by members of the Kosovo Liberation Army against ethnic minorities and political rivals from January 1998 to December 2000.

The court is based in The Hague, but operates according to the laws of Kosovo.
