A 20-year-old Albanian tragically lost his life in Austria in an attempt to escape from the authorities who were pursuing him.

The Austrian media describes it as an escape through the movies, but the end was sad for the young Albanian, who died after jumping into a river in Austria.

It all started on November 26, when he refused to stop when the police asked him to, but sped away in the car that was suspected to be stolen. The police suspect that the young man was engaged in illegal activities and that is why he tried to leave and not stop in front of the police forces.

The police asked him to stop the car in the Walserberg area, but he fled at a very high speed. Alerted Salzburg police chased the suspect to the Hallein exit, where officers initially lost sight of him.

As part of the large-scale search that was launched, the vehicle was located in the Tenneck area near Werden. Immediately after that, he collided with the police car. The young man got out of the stolen car and fled on foot, climbed over the embankment towards the Salzach, jumped into the river and crossed the Salzach to the other bank. Because police officers were already waiting on this side of the Salzach, he jumped into the river a second time.

The 20-year-old was pulled out of the water and managed to come back to life, but later died that same evening in the hospital.
