The Europe Now party has announced victory in the Montenegrin parliamentary elections. Europe Now led with 26 percent of the vote, securing 24 seats in the new parliament. The leader of the party, Milojko Spajic, said that they have achieved a good result and expect the government to be formed as soon as possible.
"The participation was relatively low, it is normal. Maybe democratic behavior. The turnout is relatively poor for Montenegrin conditions, but I've heard it's normal for European standards. We are going the European way, politics is not as interesting as it used to be..." he said.
Asked with whom they would form the government, Spajič said that he has made it clear that there is no coalition with the PDS and the URA Civic Movement.
While Dritan Abazovic has emphasized that the "Hrabro se Broji" coalition will be the main pillar of the next Government.
Asked how he comments on the message of the leader of the Europe Now Movement that he will not negotiate with the URA and whether the Democrats will negotiate separately, Abazovic comments as follows.
"And don't spoil it now... We have the government, we are waiting for the parliament. Spajić took more, let him join. This is not a question for me. For us, anyone who is for a European, civil and ecological Montenegro is welcome...", said Abazovic.
Asked if this means that URA will be with DPS in the Government, Abazovic said that they will not negotiate with them.
"For us, only people who are related to organized crime and corruption are not acceptable. These people are known in several political options. It is too early to talk about combinatorics", said Abazovic.
