On the eve of Easter, Pope Francis was hospitalized yesterday for breathing problems, heart problems and a feeling as if something was pressing on his chest.

He was transported to the hospital in Gemelli, where he has been hospitalized since yesterday.

He spent the previous evening calm and without worries, but 'Corriere' reports that Pope Francis' morning was complicated, without giving other details. He has completed all the necessary tests and everything is under control.

According to the nurses, there is a possibility of performing a coronagraphy due to the risk of atrial fibrillation (frequent heart arrhythmia).

This hospitalization of the Pope was not planned as several days off are expected as we approach Easter Sunday, the most important period of the year for Catholics.

All the scheduled sessions of the Pope have been canceled, so that the checks can continue for the necessary time.

At the moment, there is no information from the Vatican about the celebrations in view of Palm Sunday and Holy Week until Easter.
