Benjamin Netanyahu stated on Monday that Israel is clearly against a ceasefire after the conflict with Hamas. In a press conference, he said that it is now time for war.

"Just as the US would not accept a cease-fire after the bombing of Pearl Harbor or after the terrorist attacks of September 11, Israel will not accept a cessation of hostilities with Hamas after the horrific attacks of October 7. Calls for a ceasefire are calls for Israel to surrender to Hamas, to surrender to terrorism. The Bible says that there is a time for peace and a time for war," he said, adding: "This is a time for war."

"A fight for our common future. Today, we draw the line between civilized forces and barbaric forces," he said.

Also, he stated that Israel's goal in the ground operation in Gaza is to secure the release of the hostages taken by Hamas.

"We are committed to bringing home all the hostages," Netanyahu said.

According to him, Israel did not start this war, but will win it and added that Hamas is part of the "axis of evil" that Iran is forming.

Meanwhile today, Israel announced that an Israeli soldier who was taken hostage by Hamas has been rescued. Authorities announced that soldier Ori Megidish was released after ground operations in Gaza.
