The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) have stated that Iran has launched long-range missiles, warning of a growing threat to regions beyond the Middle East.
According to the IDF, the missiles used can reach up to 4,000 kilometers, a distance that potentially puts dozens of countries in Europe, Asia and Africa at risk. The statement refers to the recent attack on the joint US-UK base on Diego Garcia, where two missiles were launched, but neither reached its target.
The Israeli military stressed that Iran had previously denied developing missiles with this range, now describing the country as a "global threat", with the ability to strike cities such as London, Paris or Berlin.
However, experts remain cautious. International analysis emphasizes that there is still no conclusive evidence of Iran's ability to strike targets so far away, despite the latest attempt marking a significant escalation of the conflict.
