Micksoki declares victory: It is time for DUI and SDSM to go into opposition

The Macedonian nationalist leader of VMRO-DPMNE, Hristjan Mickoski, after nearly 90 percent of the votes have been counted in the parliamentary elections in North Macedonia, where this party is the clear winner, has said that it is time that the Democratic Union for Integration together with the SDSM to go to the opposition.

Mickoski made these comments at a press conference from the VMRO headquarters, after this party won 59 deputies out of 120 in the Macedonian parliament, while he claimed that DUI boycotted the presidential election process.

"The DUI boycott has also been defeated. This victory gives us special satisfaction. The people showed that they will not allow individuals to create crises and protect themselves through institutions. DUI showed at least that it is the party that cares for Macedonia and became a powerful criminal structure, but they hit their heads and boycotted themselves. It is time for them to join the opposition together with the SDSM", declared Mickoski.

Based on the counting of votes so far, VMRO turns out to be the first party with 42.75% which is expected to have 59 mandates in the Assembly.

The second is expected to be the European Front coalition with 14.42%, which is expected to have 19 mandates in the Assembly.

Behind her is the VLEN coalition with 11.38% and is expected to have 13 mandates in the Assembly.

SDSM, so far has 14.67% and is expected to have 18 mandates in the Assembly.
