One of the most beautiful beaches in Greece, "Navagio", for this year's summer season, will not be accessible to vacationers and tourists.
Although the small bay on the famous island of Zakynthos has become one of the most visited Greek destinations because of the shipwreck in 1980, "Panagiotis", which is found on the shore, the authorities have put the "lock".

The beach, also known as the "Port of Smugglers", where the islands of the Ionian Sea can be seen in the palm of your hand, will remain closed by the decision of four ministries, namely the one for the Protection of Citizens, the Ministry of Maritime Policy and Islands, the Ministry of Tourism and Climate Crisis, that of Civil Defense.
The decision came despite efforts by local authorities and assurances to make the sunken vessel, which was suspected of smuggling cigarettes and alcohol from the former Yugoslavia, accessible.

Tourists and local vacationers will not be allowed to circulate and approach, or anchor boats, nor swim those on board anywhere in the bay, specifically in the marine area within the line that joins the two ends (north and south) of the bay.
As for the plateau, the entry of visitors is prohibited, with a limit of 10 meters from the edge of the sandy slope.
