A social media post by Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk has become the most viewed political comment in the world this weekend, with over 30 million views, Polish researchers said.
His post reached over 37 million views in just 24 hours, a rare feat on a network where the competition for attention is brutal.
Tusk's message was direct and addressed to Americans.
"Dear American friends, Europe is your most reliable ally, not your problem. We share the same enemies. At least that's how it has been for the last 80 years. We must stick to this – it is the only sensible strategy for our common security."
Dear American friends, Europe is your closest ally, not your problem. And we have common enemies. At least that's how it has been in the last 80 years. We need to stick to this, this is the only reasonable strategy of our common security. Unless something has changed.

The post was published after Washington presented the new US National Security Strategy, a key document that has sparked debate in European capitals.
His message on social media X was shared by thousands of people, including billionaire and X owner Elon Musk, who spread the comment to a much wider audience.
Musk retweeted the Polish prime minister's message along with his own comment, in which he joked that "if you combine Donald Trump and Elon Musk, you get..." Donald Tusk.

The new American strategy places emphasis on:
strengthening the defense of Europe by Europeans themselves,
the idea that NATO cannot expand indefinitely,
and the US priority of maintaining stable relations with Russia.
Tusk's message, clear and loaded with strategic warning, was widely interpreted as a reaction to the changing American approach – and as a call to return to the principles that have held the West together for decades.
