Ukraine has expressed its willingness to buy US weapons worth $100 billion, with financing from Europe, as part of a deal to gain security guarantees from the United States after the war ends, the Financial Times reported, citing proposals presented in Washington.

According to the report, a $50 billion agreement is expected to be signed in parallel for the production of drones in cooperation between American and Ukrainian companies.

During an Oval Office meeting with President Volodymyr Zelensky on Monday, Donald Trump said he had agreed to provide military support to Kiev after the war, promising “very good defense and very good security.” However, it remains unclear how far the American aid will extend. Asked about further military aid to Ukraine, Trump stressed: “We’re not giving anything. We’re selling weapons.”

The deal could also include American Patriot air defense systems, in which Ukraine has expressed particular interest, with the aim of protecting cities and critical infrastructure from Russian attacks.
