A serious event has been discovered in Greece.

It is suspected that a 78-year-old man sexually molested his granddaughter from the age of 9.

The child had been silently accepting her grandfather's sick actions since 2017, but last year she decided to talk to a friend and that's how the old man's actions were revealed.

The mother of the girl, now 15 years old, talks to protothema.gr and tells how she found out what her father did to her child.

As the mother says, neither she nor her mother knew what was happening whenever the 78-year-old was alone with the girl.

"As parents, we didn't know anything. My daughter revealed this to her friends a year ago. That's how we found out. Last year we sent the child to the village with my father. He was asking "do you want to come with me to the village because I will be alone?" and the child said "mom, I don't want grandpa to come", says the girl's mother first.

"It didn't make sense to me. But I thought she was a child and didn't want to stay alone in the room", says the mother of the minor, while explaining that the 15-year-old decided to break the silence after being pressured by her friend.

"My child was crying. A friend was asking her what was wrong and she was saying she didn't want to talk. But then she told her friend and she told her not to keep it a secret. They called the cousin and the girl told her everything", adds the mother.

After everything was revealed, the mother began to remember the "strange" reactions of the daughter who showed that she did not want to stay with her grandfather.

As she says, her father tried to rape her minor daughter but the child escaped.

"This has been done since the child was 8-9 years old. I could see that she did not avoid him, but often opposed him to go to his grandparents' house. My mother knew nothing. If he knew, he would kill him. From what he said, the child did not abuse him. He caressed it with his hands in special places. "If he had raped her, I would be in prison now," says the mother.
