The daughter of the elderly woman who was raped in the old people's home in Peja demands justice and opposes the decision of the Supreme Court that freed the three nurses.
In an interview for Albania live, Zhaneta Nura said that she and her family have sent a letter to the President of Kosovo Vjosa Osmani, Prime Minister Albin Kurti and the Ministry of Justice, asking for justice for her mother's case.
"They had fun with my mother", says Zhaneta about the three nurses who raped and filmed the elderly woman and who were released a few days ago. According to Zhaneta, due to the violence she experienced in the "Orenda" center, her mother is experiencing a state of anxiety.
"There is anxiety, worries, constant crying, we are staying close," she said.
She says she sent her mother to a private nursing home because she had to stay under the constant care of specialist doctors.
"It would be better for them to say that we are not licensed for these types of problems and for me to go get my mother. The mother will now stay at home," she said.
Zhaneta responded to public criticism for her decision to leave her mother in the elderly center.
"I was impressed that they dealt more with us than with an institution that used violence. I don't know if it was a torture institution or an institution that treats them properly. I have a lot to say, but to those who have said so. "Nobody has any way of knowing the situation with people with Alzheimer's disease who require maximum care 24 hours a day," said Nura.
We remind you that after the release, the Kosovar media published several photos of Aurona Pelaj, who appeared in the streets of Peja smoking a cigarette.
