The United States Geological Survey (USGS) has issued an alert for the eruption of the largest active volcano in the world, Mauna Loa in Hawaii.

In the last two hours before the explosion, dozens of earthquakes ranging from 2.5 to 4.2 on the Richter scale were recorded. The eruption began around 11:30 Sunday night, with the USGS warning that winds could carry volcanic gases.
