The CEC decided to register the PD led by Lulzim Basha in the September 24 elections in Kukës, a process that will be repeated after the video scandal with Safet Gjicin.

During his speech, the head of the CEC, Ilirjan Celibashi, said that Lulzim Basha's request meets the requirements of the Electoral Code and the law on political parties. He said that it is impossible for the CEC to review the decision-making process of a political party. According to him, the CEC is obliged to see the request from a formal point of view.

"Basha has the legitimacy to submit the request for registration in the elections as an electoral subject", he said.
