A part of the Chinese army will go to Russia in the coming days to take part in a joint exercise with Russian, Indian, Belarusian and Tajikistan troops.
The news was given by the Minister of the Interior in Beijing, who clarifies that the Chinese participation in this exercise has nothing to do with the international and regional situation.
The announcement states that the military operations are part of an agreement aimed at deepening the practical and friendly cooperation of the armies of the participating countries.
Earlier, the Chinese authorities thanked President Putin for the support shown to Taiwan, in connection with the visit of the speaker of the House of Representatives, Nancy Pelosi, which it described as a planned provocation.
Foreign ministry spokesman Wan Wenbin recalled that more than 170 countries have reaffirmed the principle of one China, supporting Beijing to maintain sovereignty and territorial integrity.
Wenbi emphasized that President Putin has always maintained a coherent position regarding the Taiwan issue.
