The American President, Joe Biden, will soon be able to announce his candidacy for the upcoming presidential elections, some American media have reported.

Some unidentified aides to the president have told the American newspapers, the Washington Post and the New York Times, that Biden can announce something like this within days.

As another sign that he has campaign plans, Biden has invited campaign donors to Washington at the end of next week, the media reported.

Democrat Biden has repeated several times that he aims for a second term as president, writes REL.

Finally, on the sidelines of his visit to Ireland, when he was asked about the date of announcing his candidacy, he said that "it will happen soon".

Given his age, even among Democrats there are reservations about whether he is the most suitable candidate.

Until the next presidential election, in 2024, Biden will be 81 years old, while if he wins the second term, he will start it as 82 years old.
