A 14-year-old student was arrested as the author of the massacre that shook Belgrade today.
He opened fire in a school leaving nine dead and several others injured.
The boy killed seven girls and one boy, as well as the security guard. The bodies of the three girls were found in the corridor, where the security guard was also. The bodies of four girls and one boy were found in the classroom.
The perpetrator of the crime first argued with the guard and then opened fire on him. He then entered the classroom during history class and shot the teacher and the children. The balance may worsen as two children are said to be in critical condition in hospital.
The 14-year-old was arrested in the school yard. He was handcuffed and a jacket was put on his head so that his face could not be seen. As the media reports, he did not resist arrest.
The police officers told him to put down his weapons and lie on the ground with his hands behind his head.
When the officers approached him, he said: "I shot them because I'm a psychopath."
It is learned that the student was considered calm and was very good in lessons. There are some unverified reports that he may have been a victim of bullying.
The perpetrator used his father's gun. It is reported that the father had two guns with a permit.
