Another demonstration took place outside the US embassy in Tunis.
Jordanians gathered outside the Israeli embassy in Amman, where thousands expressed support for Gaza and called for the expulsion of the Israeli ambassador to Jordan.
Tight security was deployed in the area, keeping protesters at a distance from the embassy after demonstrators had attempted to storm it yesterday evening.
In Egypt, protests also took place in various cities across the country, a rare sight in the North African country, where authorities have cracked down on demonstrations for years.
University students held demonstrations in Cairo. Hundreds more took to the streets in the southern city of Luxor to denounce the Israeli military escalation in Gaza.
Thousands demonstrated in the Sinai town of Al-Arish, carrying Egyptian and Palestinian flags.
