He had no legal training, yet posed as a lawyer by impersonating a real professional, and managed to handle 26 cases and win them all.

The swindler has been arrested, but his case is making a big fuss, so much so that there are those who are already ready, based on innate talent, to pay the tuition and give him a valuable qualification to practice in all aspects.

The man practicing in Kenya named Brian Mwenda had stolen the identity of a real lawyer named Brian Mwenda Ntwiga.

The "fake lawyer" won all 26 cases in various Kenyan courts despite having no legal training, local media reported. The fraudster allegedly accessed the portal of the Law Society of Kenya (the equivalent of the Bar Association) and tampered with the account details of a man with the same name as himself, before uploading his photo and claiming to have a law training .

The "real" Brian Mwenda Ntëiga contacted LSK after he was unable to access his account and realized that some details had been changed. "On 5 August 2022, Brian Mwenda Ntwiga was admitted to the Bar and his correct email address was captured and an account opened for him on the Bar portal," LSK said in a statement.

Real lawyer Brian Mwenda Ntëiga, contacted by the Daily Mail, explained that “it was not until September 2023, when he tried to log into the system and activate his profile with the intention of applying for the trainee certificate, that he realized that he was not could enter his LSK".
