The intimate videos of Mirjana Pajkovic, former director of the Ministry of Human Rights in Montenegro, continue to resonate and be commented on in the neighboring country, despite the fact that a few months have passed since their publication.
Pajkovic first went viral 2 months ago after publishing explicit videos on adult platforms, while local media later reported on her relationship with Dejan Vukšić, former director of the National Security Agency of Montenegro and advisor to President Jakov Milatović .
Because public opinion began to speculate that other compromising materials could include well-known political figures, even former Prime Minister Dritan Abazovic could not escape questions on this issue on Wednesday.
During a television interview, Abazovic was asked directly if he appeared in any of the videos.
"There's nothing there. I'm not there at all," Abazovic replied, smiling.
The moderator continued with ironic questions, asking "does he sleep peacefully" about this story, while Abazovic reminded that for years he has survived many attempts at discrediting and political attacks.
"I've been through a lot. It was an advantage for me that during all these years I haven't been a family man," he declared.
The former prime minister hinted that people connected to organized crime have attempted to compromise him through such scandals.
"I immediately understood what these people wanted to do with organized crime," Abazovic said.
When the moderator asked if anyone had tried to hook him up with a woman to harm him politically, Abazović replied:
"I've always been on top of the situation. I'm very, very pleased."
At the end of the interview, he assured that he is "completely relaxed" about everything that is circulating in the public.
After Abazovic's statements, Mirjana Pajkovic herself reacted, publishing a video on TikTok and asking the former prime minister not to mention her name again.
"What are you on about, Dritan? Come on, tell us a little bit. Don't mention my name again. If you're not sure you shouldn't mention me, ask Filip," she said, referring to Filip Adzic, the former Interior Minister of Montenegro.
She then mentioned Dejan Vukšić, the former director of the National Security Agency (ANB), whom Abazović had dismissed while he was prime minister.
"Or ask 'The Old Man' from the ANB, Dejan Vukšić, who you dismissed, but then ended up in the same political coalition," Pajković declared.
She also leveled accusations against people close to Abazovic's former government, claiming that intercepted communications of hers were handed over to the National Security Agency and the Special Prosecutor's Office of Montenegro.
"He will confirm that among your people there were some very problematic ones, precisely during your government. But you don't understand this, because you are 'above the situation'," she said.
Pajkovic has always insisted that this case is not a sex scandal but a cybercrime and violation of constitutional rights.
