Gani Geci after leaving prison

Former LDK MP Gani Geci has been released from prison.

After his release, Geci said that he finished the prison as "men do". He has said that he has things to say, but he has warned that he will speak after some time. As Geci claimed immediately after his release from prison, several violations were committed in his case by the Ministry of Justice.

On June 4, 2021, Gani Geci was found guilty by the Basic Court of Mitrovica for the murder of Ruzhdi Shaqiri in August 2014. Geci was sentenced to 3 and a half years in prison.

In January 2023, Geci announced in a Facebook post about the order he had received from the Basic Court of Mitrovica to appear at the Detention Center in Pristina on January 4, 2023. According to Express, calculating the time that had been in custody, Geci had 1 year and 8 months left to spend in prison.
