The journalist from Kosovo, Valon Syla, reacted for the first time, after the physical attack he suffered yesterday, where he ended up in the hospital due to injuries.

In a post on social networks, Syla writes that they are in good health, while explaining that after the debate on the private television, T7, together with the host of the show, Leonard Kirqukin and the other journalist, Ilir Mirena, they went to a bar in the neighborhood "Sunny Coast" in Pristina. 

According to him, the three aggressors were Islamic fanatics and he suffered serious injuries to his head and left hand. He declares that the attack on him may be related to his reactions to the case, as he calls it, of "Mulla Mercedes" and the events at BIK. 

Syla further writes that what worries him personally in this case is that his reaction, apart from being factual, also had a significant dose of humor. He writes that religion is important and humanity would not be where it is without its benefits.

I apologize for writing publicly late. But I want to tell you that I am fine and I thank you for the great support, friends, institutions of the country and fellow journalists.

We were in a debate at Lleo in Pressing, and the attackers had followed us since we left the T7 building by following us in a car, they found us to the place where we stopped, Ilir Mirena and Leonard Kerquki for a meeting as well with some other journalists after the debate.

This time we had chosen the Image cafeteria in Breg di Diellill to meet. And right in front of the stairs, entering the bar, I was attacked by 3 people, apparently Islamic fanatics.

The attack is probably related to my reactions about 'Mulla Mercedes' and the events in BIK, which it seems you didn't like at all and thus encouraged this community of Islamic militants to organize a premeditated physical attack.
I don't know if someone ordered it, but it was enough for me to suffer serious injuries to my head and left hand.

What worries me personally in this case is that the reactions, in addition to being factual, also had strong doses of humor. And this is not being accepted by an Islamic community that behaves with medieval features and they are not able to accept humor and free speech, it reveals to them the marked gloom of their thinking and mentality.

Po ashtu tendenca e tyre që dhunshëm të imponohen që të arrijë objektiva të errta dhe fanatike deri në shkeljen e të drejtave më bazike të njeriut, tregon taktikën e tyre kryesore që është frikësimi i masave dhe me sulme sikur ndaj tipave si unë, mundohen ti frikësojnë të gjithë ata që janë në dy mendje.

Kjo tregon se keta predikues fetarë, e hoxhallarë që nxisin dhunë e prodhojnë kesi militantizmi shpërblehen me mercedesa, nga shefat e Bashkësive Fetare, dhe duke i shpërblyer pregaditen të ushtrojnë dhunë dhe frikësim te të gjithë ata që nuk i përcjellin dogmat e tyre.

Feja është e rendësishme dhe njerëzimi nuk kishte me arritë këtu ku është pa të mirat e fesë. Poashtu Islami thuhet se nënkupton paqe. Por jo edhe liri.

Intimidation of the masses, violence and all those who preach against freedom and act as followers of this fanatical spirit, are neither for peace nor for freedom. This is the danger that threatens all of us as Kosovars.

So speak, write and defend freedom. But don't forget your sense of humor either. Thank you once again.
