US President Donald Trump has reportedly proposed the deployment of Chinese peacekeeping forces in Ukraine, an idea that reportedly supports an earlier proposal by Russian President Vladimir Putin.
According to the Financial Times, a source from Trump's camp denies this information, stating that "there has been no discussion of Chinese peacekeeping forces."
The proposal has caused strong reactions in Kiev and in several European capitals, due to Beijing's open support for Moscow during the conflict.
Meanwhile, Ukraine and its Western allies have discussed the possibility of creating a neutral international force to ensure security.
Turkey is one of the countries that has expressed its readiness to actively participate in the implementation and maintenance of these guarantees.
