Italian authorities have launched investigations into the tragic accident with 21 deaths in Mestre, Venice.

A bus carrying Ukrainian, German, French and Croatian tourists fell from a height of about 10 meters and ended up on the train tracks, where it burst into flames.

The bus driver was Italian and is among the victims. It is suspected that the cause of the accident may have been the loss of consciousness of the driver due to some illness.

Meanwhile, the review of the security cameras is also being awaited with interest to see the dynamics of this serious accident.

Venice authorities say that from the first findings at the scene, there are no signs of the bus stopping. Then the vehicle hit the protective barrier and fell from a height of 10 meters ending upside down on the train tracks.

The flames that broke out spread quickly, probably because of the fuel.

The Italian police say that the bus must have been a hybrid, that is, half electric.

The fire took the lives of 21 travelers and 18 others were injured.

The mayor of Venezia Brugnaro declared a day of mourning for what he considered the most serious and apocalyptic tragedy in their community.
