Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has given a strong speech, declaring that his country plans to increase the production of medium and long-range missiles.
Erdogan said that a country is vulnerable if it is not strong politically, economically, socially and militarily.
"As a nation, we would rather die than live in shame," Erdogan said, among other things.
"We are now planning the production of missiles to increase our medium- and long-range stockpiles to a reliable deterrent level.
Soon, we will achieve a defensive capability that no one will dare challenge. We have entered the phase of producing our systems in quantities that truly strengthen our deterrence. If you are not strong politically, socially, economically, and militarily, you lack deterrence - and you are vulnerable.
"As a nation, we prefer to die than live in shame. It is better to rest with honor underground than to live without honor above it," Erdogan said.
In a statement made after the cabinet meeting, Erdogan said that Israel is endangering its own existence with the actions it is carrying out.
"With every oppression it commits, every blood it sheds, every crime against humanity it commits, Israel is endangering its own existence and the future of its society, step by step," he said.
