The troubles for Air India continue, a plane suffers a technical defect in the
Air India

An Air India plane has been forced to return to Hong Kong after a suspected technical problem. It is the same type of aircraft that crashed last week in Ahmedabad, a Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner.

An Air India spokesman told Sky News that the passenger plane was headed to New Delhi but turned back after the pilot suspected a technical issue.

The cause of the problem has not yet been determined. According to international media reports, flight number AI315 departed from Hong Kong at 12:16 and, according to Flightradar data, landed again on the same runway an hour later.

The spokesman told British media that the company has not yet determined what the technical problem was, but the pilot suspected something. For this reason, the plane is being inspected.

The company that makes the planes, Boeing, did not respond to requests for comment.

The incident comes days after the catastrophic crash of another Air India plane that killed 241 people and left only one person alive.
