"They will disappear from the face of the earth" - When the diplomacy

Face to face in the 'home' of the world! America and Iran laid down their arms and held talks in New York for the first time in more than 3 months. This came after the strong threat of the President of the United States, Donald Trump, at the United Nations podium where he listed these two options for Tehran: accept the deal or face extinction.

As the war entered its seventh month, US special envoy Steve Witkoff held lengthy talks with Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi through intermediaries, the highest-level diplomatic contact between the sides since a short-lived ceasefire in June. The outcome of that roundtable softened the US president's tone.

"The meeting went very well. It ended about an hour ago and it was a meeting that lasted for three hours. I have to tell you, it was a very good conversation. I can't imagine why they wouldn't want to make a deal. It's greatness or extinction. Two choices. On one side is extinction and on the other side is the alternative of potential greatness. Iran could become a great country," Trump said.

It is unclear what the parties discussed at that meeting, but no significant developments have been reported. As has happened in the past, Iranian media reported that Araghchi highlighted general demands, including the unblocking of Iran's frozen assets, the lifting of the US naval blockade of the Islamic Republic, and an end to the war on all resistance fronts.
