Even the 22nd session did not prove successful in constituting the ninth legislature of the Assembly of Kosovo.
The vote to form the committee by secret ballot received only 54 votes in favor. One MP voted against, while there were no abstentions. The next session will be held on Thursday, from 11:00.
Since April 15, MPs have been blocked on the third point of the constitutive session, that of electing the speaker of parliament.
While initially a majority could not be reached to vote for the name of Albulena Haxhiu of the Vetëvendosje Movement, the winning party is now requesting the vote of a commission to hold a secret ballot.
This too is not gaining a majority and sessions are being held every 48 hours, according to the Rules of Procedure. No change in positions has been noticed in the last 48 hours.
Even the leader of the LVV, Albin Kurti, blamed the parties that were in opposition until now for the political impasse. He said that the solution is a secret ballot, while regarding Haxhiu's name, he said that "it is neither in question nor in question."
