The family photo shared nearly a year ago by 38-year-old Miss Switzerland finalist Kristina Joksimovic, who suffered a tragic death at the hands of her husband last February when he strangled and dismembered her, has sparked strong emotions even after her murder.
Unaware of what fateful future awaited her, she had captioned her photo with her husband and their two children "My world".
A few months later, her 41-year-old businessman husband Thomas confessed to killing his wife last February in Binningen, near Basel in Switzerland. Her body was found a day after the gruesome murder.
Her husband admitted that he killed her in self-defense, claiming that he dismembered the body in moments of "panic" in the laundry room. According to an autopsy report, several parts of her body were chopped up with a hand cutter and attempted to be disposed of with chemicals.

The brutal murder shocked the 38-year-old's friends, with one of them telling local news agency Blick: "They looked like the perfect family to me." Many people left messages under her posts. In many of the posts, she also appears with her husband, whom she calls "my rock".
"In crisis for months"
A person with knowledge of the family dynamics told Blick that the relationship had been "in crisis for months", with the police reportedly being called beforehand to reports of physical abuse.
Investigators looking into the case said the businessman showed a high level of criminal activity. At the same time, they spoke of a lack of empathy and coldness after the murder of his wife, while also referring to his efforts to cover up her death. They said he had "sadistic-sociopathic traits".
