Great Britain publishes the annual balance: Over 45 thousand immigrants crossed

Great Britain has published the balance of immigrants who crossed the English Channel during 2022.

According to government figures, a total of 45,756 migrants crossed the English Channel into Britain, including 90 people who made the journey from France on two ships on Christmas Day.

The Ministry of Defense recorded no other similar incidents during the remaining six days of 2022 when atmospheric conditions were unfavorable.

Home Office officials estimate that up to 60,000 people are likely to cross the Channel in the new year. Politicians have struggled to control the migration crisis over the past year as tensions rise amid political instability with three prime ministers and three interior ministers replaced in a short space of time.

Home Secretary Suella Braverman, who is known for her tough stance on immigration, has spoken of her "dream" to see the British government's plan to send refugees to Rwanda come to fruition.

The High Court in London has ruled that this plan is legal, but it has not yet been implemented due to pending legal proceedings. Since the agreement was signed in April, 40,460 migrants have arrived in the UK by crossing the English Channel.

We remind you that the British Government has reached an agreement with Albania on illegal immigrants. British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak made public the agreement to curb Albanian immigration, which will speed up deportations. Sunak in the Parliament said that 1/3 of the asylum seekers are Albanians, from a prosperous and safe country, as he announced that 400 British specialists will land in Rinas to stop the immigrants.

This plan of measures came after the telephone conversation Sunak had with Prime Minister Edi Rama. The topic of Albanians in Great Britain has been very curved, recalling here the debate that has engulfed the country on the number of illegal immigrants who arrive by boat through the English Channel. This prompted a great reaction from Albanians in Great Britain, who also organized a large protest in London, where they demanded that the Minister of the Interior, Suella Braverman, apologize.
